one of my pigs is really sun burn and i put sun block on him every morning and alovia every night. but his skin dosent seem to be getting beter. and i dont know what to do for him i feel bad.

forget the sunblock. **Get SHADE in that pen.** People here jump at abuse/neglect but a pig in the sun long enough to get sunburned - and with heat - can die of heat stroke. It will take time for the burn to heal - but get shade and a way for him to stay cool. They cannot regulate their temperature...even a few hours in the hot sun is enough to kill - I lost a 600# sow one time because someone never secured the shade like I told them too. I was only gone a couple hours and she was dead when I got home. :-( She was less than a week from having pigs. Get shade in the pen that can not come down.

Keep him inside the mud room (if you have one) until he is healed. But you HAVE to reapply sunblock EVERY hour for the best results! I know, that really is a pain!

try putting on aloe on his skin every night.

why not go further
keep going and cook it completely
and have a party.
and everybody will feel a lot better.
