While I do not have a spouse, I have been around very close friends when cheating was taking place or when it was discussed in a very frank manner.
After seeing some of the after effects of cheating on marriages and relationships, I can't imagine ever even considering it, no matter what.
Even if you were never caught, you would be living with that lie, that event that you took a part in, for the rest of your life.
Knowing that you could keep such a secret, would you also not believe your spouse capable of doing the same?
I am a firm believer in 100 percent honesty, in the little things in life and in the big things. Whether it's with a stranger at a store (ok, granted, I'm not typically in a position where I would need to worry about honesty with a stranger in a store) to my loving family and friends.
I hope that this helps.

I guess I would although in my case what stops me from cheating on him is not the fear of getting caught but the strong bonds between us which have been built along our relationship.

No .if you cant trust yourself, who can you trust? Its never entered my mind to cheat. We have a beautiful relationship, one built on trust. How does a moments pleasure equate to losing every thing you value, including your self respect, even if you were never found out. My love is far to strong to want to throw it away on something as cheap and meaningless as someone who would cheat with a married woman...How totally disrespectful to your marriage and the man you love........

Naw, without the chance of getting caught would take the fun out of doing it so why bother. But if we did it in a pool at a hotel it may not be her that would catch us but the same effect. .

absolutly not. Cheating changes your feelings and it would make it harder to show your spouse the love that they deserve. Your connection will forever be weaker even if your marraiage can make it through the trauma it will still never be the same... even if they never know they will noticed the change in you. I promise.

i will never consider not being caught. If someone really like to catch something, they will get it. And considering what damages or consequences i might lose, i would never venture in it. But if one can stomach losing custody of the kids, pay huge amount of moral damages, imprisonment, contract incurable veneral disease, have your entire family scorn on you,see yourself in porn magazine, subjected to blackmails, lose your professional licence, and so on, i would not dare.

When you cheat on your spouse, you are cheating on yourself because you thought you loved her enough to marry her so you made a commitment. To cheat on her is to cheat on that commitment you made to yourself AND her.

No, for practically all the reasons others have given. Unfortunately, my husband was not of the same persuasion, which is why he's now my ex-husband.
