Have they pulled off a World Cup first?

That's an excellent question. I can think of many teams leaving the World Cup unbeaten, teams that allowed only one goal, teams that advanced far without winning, but I cannot remember any team leaving the world cup without allowing a goal!

Brazil in 1986 and Cameroon in 1982 allowed one each, that's the least I can think of

It's good that Switzerland are out as they just played defence for every game and was by far the worst team to watch

World cups should be about great all round play with emphasis on attacking and scoring goals. If every team played like the swiss then no one would watch football

I think Switzerland has the same problem the US team has.
Coach...both coaches, didn't trained their players to attack or to score. Seems they can only score, with the ball stopped.
I am sure, if their coach had built attacks strategy, like kick the ball in the goal, as soon as get a chance, they would have won the game. It's just about improve their attack and don't loose goals opportunity as they both did....kick the ball even if you don't score, just try, like Cole did on the first half against Sweden.

I think so, but if you look at the teams that they have played it hasn't been too hard. In their first match against France it was very hot and France played really badly, they didn't seem as though they were ready. Then the next three teams weren't too hard. But still, its good they didn't concede and I think it might be a first but its a shame they were so poor when it came to attacking and the game against Ukraine was incredibly boring.

Very Very defensive team
I think your right, though they are not the 1st team to exit a World Cup without losing a match over 90 minutes, infact Scotland was the 1st team to do that

Yup, they did. But, you know what they say. "You can't have too much of a good thing". The Swiss were too defensive and that really took 'em out.

I do believe it is a first, which is kind of funny. No offense to Swiss fans.

Then they decide to concede when it is vital that they shouldn't. Rather ironic.
