Let the wax harden, then scrap off the excess with a dull knife.
Place part of a paper bag, a sheet of newspaper, paper towels, or a clean cloth over the wax.
Using a warm iron, press gently on the paper bag. Be careful not to leave the iron in one place too long or you may burn the carpet fibers.
Voila! The paper bag will soak up the melted wax.
To remove stains left from colored wax, try gently dabbing the stain with a rag dampened with rubbing alcohol. If the alcohol doesn't do the trick, Heloise, that domestic goddess, recommends using dry cleaning solvent.
If you are one of those undomesticated and crumpled slobs who doesn't own an iron, one site offered a couple of alternative solutions to the ol' wax-in-the-carpet conundrum. Try covering the wax with a cloth or paper as described above, then use a hair dryer to heat up the wax. Or, you can use ice to freeze the wax and then pick it out of your carpet. Of course, we can't vouch for these methods but if you are facing an ugly blotch on your wall-to-wall, they are certainly worth a shot.

Although it may look like a permanent mess, spilled wax can be removed from a carpet with the help of a warm iron.
Steps:
1. Scrape away as much wax as you can. (Image 1)
2. Place a sheet of butcher paper, glossy side up, or a portion of a brown paper bag on top of the wax. (Image 2)
3. Press the tip of a warm iron gently over the affected area until the wax melts and attaches to the paper. (Image 3)
4. Lift the paper from the carpet.
5. Dab a small amount of denatured alcohol onto the stain if any candle dye is left on the carpet. (Image 4)
6. Sponge with water.

Place paper towels over it and remelt the wax with an iron (or kettle-pot if you don't have an iron), until all the wax is off the floor. As for the stain, try OxiClean! Or if your carpet is white (or beige) try bleach, but just a little at a time. If the stain won't budge, cover it with a rug!

Use a hair dryer on high heat to melt the wax. The wax melts and seeps deeper into the carpet or pad and is out of sight. This method does not get rid of the wax, but it is the fastest and most effective way to remove it from sight!

Usually when wax from a candle falls let is get hard. When it's hard use your nails or a sharp object to peel it off. There will be still a stain, I would use alcohol or carpet-stain remover to take it away/\.
GOOD luck!

Take a paper bag or any kind of paper and a hot iron. Heat your iron, place paper over wax and iron on top of paper then let cool before you pick up the paper. It should take it right up. If not try freezing it with an ice cube then it should chip off.

ICE CUBES AND A SMOOTH BUTTER KNIFE.
LET THE WAX HARDEN, THEN REMOVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN WITHOUT SCARING THE CARPET, THEN USE A SPOT REMOVER FOR CARPETS[READ THE CONTAINER TO BE CAREFUL OF ANY WAY IT MIGHT REACT TO ANY WAX THAT IS LEFT THERE].
