If the roles reversed from what has happened in the media recently how would Americans, Jordanians, and / or the Islamic community react? Think about a 20 year old Christian man talking a 16 year old Islamic girl from Jordan into flying to the United States in order to marry him. I would like to know the type of reaction that would bring. Is it justified for people outside of the United States to corrupt minors and engage them in statutory rape? I doubt it would be tolerated here in the U.S. or in Jordan in most cases.

I think the same thing would have happened. Most would make fun of the guy and say things like 'jailbait' and make fun of his fondness for girls who are not the legal age of consent.
