take a break every 20 minutes to give your eyes a rest and make sure there is enough light surrounding you in the room. I used to have this problem and I used to get really drowsy. I did what I've told you to do and I also turned down the brightness on the screen. Works a treat!

Basic Health and Safety! After every hour at your screen you are then supposed to take 10 minutes away from your screen. Not looking at a tv or reading a report either, focus on something far away ou the window and get up and walk around.
Change the refresh rate on your monitor by right clicking on an empty area of the desktop, select Properties, then Settings. Click the Advanced tab, then select the Monitor tab, you'll see the drop down box that allows you to increase the refresh rate.

1. You might want to see your opthamologist, a new fitting might help there.

2. You are not 40 yet are you ? That would explain it.

3. Get a good adjustment on your monitor and neck angle.

4. Could be just "work stress" I have 3 jobs, all of them in the same place.

Every half hour of computer use just take a few moments (like 15 seconds) and focus on different things far away from you.

If things get really bad, just goto the bathroom and spash some water on your face to sooth your eyes.

Yes it is this is eye strain. Every 45 minutes or so take a break from your computer for about 15 minutes. If you work with computers this is a health and safety guideline.

Do you wear glasses? If not, you may need them. My eyesight has gone downhill in the last 8 years because I am glued to a computer screen 10 hours a day.

You're spending to much time focusing on a fixed point. Take a break now & then, adjust the brightness on your screen to a more comfortable level, and if you can, put a small lamp behind your moniter or next to it to even out the illumination levels.
Good luck.

You need to see an optician. If you use a computer for most of your working day, then you should qualify for free eyecare vouchers, and may even get free prescriptions. Ask your company secretary to find out.
