GAs is running out, terorism, global warming, horrible storms & global disasters all over the world, poverty, aids. Do you think world will soon come to an end? we r poluting the earth & eventualy it will back fire. We r killing of the rain forest, & the hotter it gets in the atmoshpere the slower the trees will grow, until they start dying & actualy releasing the carbon dioxide collected, the trees who helped us live, in fact might kill us at the end. I know many say that the global warming is a hoax since it is only now made known since government knows we r running low on fuel it seems convenient to consume it, but still what is going to happent to the world & us & our generation, i am 16.

No. I am old enough to remember the doomsday predictions of 1970s scaremongers, who assured us that by the 1990s, if overpopulation didn't kill us, the inevitable ice age (caused by pollution) would. They came to these conclusions by taking the most pessimistic possible starting numbers and extrapolating from them with the assumption that everything people did would either stay stupid or get stupider. It was manipulative bullsh!t then and it's manipulative bullsh!t now. When I was 16, I bought into this crap, because I didn't have the perspective yet to sense when I was being manipulated. You'll understand when you're older.
Environmentalism is a religion, not a science. Facts that don't fit the apocalyptic predictions are routinely ignored, or when that doesn't work, attacked as "biased." What information does make the cut is whatever environmentalists think will scare the most people into joining the cause - kind of like the function that hellfire and brimstone used to serve for other religions.

Personally I think there's a very good chance that global warming
will destroy most of the life on this planet within a hundred years,
including human beings. It's not certain doom or anything because
most non-American world leaders are waking up to the situation
and beginning to take action. After Bush leaves office maybe we can get someone intelligent in the White House and the United States can co-operate with other nations in solving the problem.

Before George Bush was elected president, I would have said Humanity's chances of surviving into the 22nd century were pretty fair.
Now? No. We'll destroy the planet soon. By war, or by the idiocy of people who can't make themselves believe that our environment is being eroded.
No, I don't think we'll make it.
But, you know what? Let's enjoy life NOW. Because in the final analysis, it doesn't really matter.
Buddha said, "Regard all things as a dream."
And dreams always disappear, when the morning comes.

It could end for everyone tonight - it would only take a matter of hours for the nuclear equipped nations of the world to empty their silos. A home invasion could occur and you could be shot dead. There are a myriad of ways that it could end. Look at your hands and body - we're worm food! It is critical to constantly be remind yourself of your own mortality - we are all going to die somehow, someway. Go to google and read about "Pascal's Wager" - think about the possibility of something beyond the world you see.
