About a month ago, it was noted that the abdomen was underdeveloped on my sisters u/s, but that all other measurements were right on target. Dr says all is fine, just a skinny baby, but I had a baby born with a birth defect a couple of years ago, and the Dr's originally told me that all was fine, so I can't help but worry for her. Hopefully it is nothing, but I would like to be prepared, and help her prepare, if her baby might be born with some sort of abdominal birth defect. Thank you.

It could be a sign of some of the organs being under developed. I would think that the Dr would have said something to your sister if they feared there could be a problem.

Tell your sister not to worry. That everything will be fine because it is not good for her or the baby for the mama to be stressed.
