Darth Vader!
Darth is the only one on my "A" list, but my "B" list would include The Wicked Witch of the West, Norman Bates, and Jack from The Shining.
Can't think of any recent baddies that are as compelling, oh maybe Hannibal Lector.

For me it has to be Alan Rickman. As Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films he just exudes BAAAAAAAAAAAD even when he´s not the bad guy. In Robin Hood Prince of Thieves he was so camp as the bad guy he made me want to cheer when he died. As the terrorist in Die Hard he was the perfect opposite to Bruce Willis.
Nobody plays a better bad guy than a British actor. A true bad guy actor is the sort that makes you count the seconds til he gets what he deserves and for me That has to be Alan Rickman.
