I think you are right you should get married first and you both need to be in the same page about kids they are a hand full if your not ready. I also think if he love you as much as you think he should under stand. Tell him that if you have a kid that your not going to work until the baby goes to school that will scare him and that you want a big house with lots of land so the kids can run around that shoul do it

Don't let anyone tell you when to have children. It is the biggest responsibility you will ever have. Your life will change down to the smallest detail. Your life will revolve around that child. Enjoy your life a little. I love my children, but if I could have the same children I would have waited until I was more mature. 30's is more settled down time for most. I was 18 with the first and 23 with the second. I don't regret having them, I just wish we were more financially stable and more mature at the time.

Sit down and communicate with him and tell the man how you feel. Sounds to me like you have some kind of fear of him. If you do, you better hit the road, or tell him to take a hike.
Girl, communication is very important in a marriage. If you don't have that, you don't have anything. If he gets that upset over it and does not respect your wishes tell him to hit the street and don't look back. If he wants a kid that bad tell him to have it.
Lots of Luck with this fellow.

You're not wrong both people should agree on this. If he wants to start a family now tell him to start planning for the wedding even if it doesn't matter that much to you this would back him up for a while. A lot of men see this as a way to lock you down without buying the cow so say hell no!

If he's trying to have kids and haven't asked you to marry him, this means he's scared of marriage. So just mention marriage and he'll forget about the kids.

Listen, he has not committed himself to u, he is not your husband. How dare he to want children, he should want to run out and buy a ring and want to propose and then want to wait, till u are established and then wait until u are ready. In that order and do not let him bully u.

Make sure you are ready for the next step.
Are you guys engaged to be married?
Be honest with him & don't lead him on any longer.
It takes 2.
