Yes, it could be keeping you from getting pregnant. I have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and it kept me from getting pregnant for over two years. The cysts on the ovaries make the hormones go crazy. Do you have chin hairs and acne? If you do it's because there is way too much testosterone in your system because of the cyst. It can also cause insulin resistance, or insulin resistance can cause PCOS...I forget which. Anyway, my doctor put me on Metformin, which is a diabetes medication. By controlling the insulin resistance, my body was able to use sugar more efficiently and I lost weight. My reproductive hormones also came back into check and I got pregnant after six months. You may want to talk to your doctor about this. Good luck!

I am not a doctor, but I had several fibroid cysts and a severe case of endometriosis. Your gynecologist should be able to answer whether or not this is preventing you from getting pregnant. If your doctor does not know the answer, I would suggest seeking out another doctor that can help you with that answer. I would suggest you get a thorough physical, and get checked for endometriosis. Because I can share with you first hand that if you do have endometriosis, if left untreated, yes, it can definetely affect your child bearing, and many other aspects of your health. I would suggest you not put this off. Endometriosis can mask itself and can be dormant for a long time with no symptoms but be doing damage the whole time. Find a good doctor you are comfortable with, and who is versed in this difficulty as a beginning. If that possibility has been ruled out, then get other testing. You deserve to know what the problem is instead of being left in the dark without answers.

ok the cyst will b stopping you from getting pregnant as it raises a hormone called prolactin which kills off every s-p-e-r-m the cyst will grow out if the dr had thought it to be troublesome he would have given you some pills to help get rid of it, try not tostress to much as that doesn't help either and good luck

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get the proper tests taken and find out for real! It might be your hubby who has the problem. You should both go and get the proper examinations done. Then you will at least know for sure and you can do the things you need to do to get a baby! Good Luck!
