No it wouldn't. It would be romantic or even unrealistic but you can dream about a best way to do things.

There is nothing unpatriotic about suggesting a new form of government, unless you view patriotism as being an unquestioning adherence to an institution over the better interests of the members of the institution. Our government is constantly evolving to meet (or fail to deal with) the complexities of an ever changing and developing series of domestic and international issues. Should these issues not be met, then there is no reason to blindly stand by a system that fails to provide for the "common good".

No, it is not unpatriotic. There are strong arguements that the parliamentary system is better than our system. Also, that system separates the head of state from the head of government, unlike in the US. For instance those people in England who require someone as a symbol of the country to revere or worship have the Queen, while the Prime Minister focuses solely on governing. Here the ceremonial and governmental are combined in the President.

When was the last time you went to a store and found the shelves empty? The last time you did not have water to drink? The last time you were not allowed to pass from one state to the other? The last time you turned on the switch and the light did not work? The last time you were denied anything? Communism: give to the government on the basis of your abilities and receive from the government on the basis of your needs. Until you've witnessed life in a 2nd or 3rd world country and seen, first hand, what the people don't have, how little regard their government puts on them and how the struggle for daily survival is you should not question what it is you don't have or how harsh it is because of your government.

Best to analyze the problem before proposing radical solutions.
In my opinion, the USA has a very good form of government. Unfortunately, the voting citizens are a bit complacent about re-electing non-performing and self-serving politicians. We need to be more aware of and involved in politics at all levels if we want better government.
How many people do you know who can spew sports statistics endlessly but cannot even name, muchless know the positions of, their city councilmen, mayor, state representatives or even US senators?
How many people do you know who don't know the names of their children's teachers and principal but are completely up-to-date on celebrity gossip and rumors?
When people are so distracted with the trivial and so disengaged from serious considerations, it is no wonder that we are disappointed with our government.

Reforming the government is a great idea that many people from many different political persuasions like to discuss. However, the actual reforming of the government is unlikely to occur until we expand our political system to allow representation from more than just two parties at any given time.

I don't think so. We are allowed to suggest different forms of Government. We actually have Americans for Socialism groups and many toehr groups like that.
Well a lot of Government forms are great on paper but when you put in the human facotr, it doens't work.
I've heard Cubans say they love their Government, in Cuba, but why do many of them try to get to Florida?
Good government doesn't always mean popular. Especially when we have free apeech. Mobs are very dumb when they start believing in conspiracy stories and half truths.

I think our form of government is the best, it is just not being run right. It is being manipulated and molded to fit the greedy.
And no it is not unpatriotic to disagree with it.

No, actually that is how things get changed, by suggesting an idea, debating on that idea, then of course making concessions to get the main parts of the idea into fruition. Would be very patriotic I think.
