So did I. I later learned that my body was not responding to the ovulation process as other girls and I needed some help to push the estrogen and progesterone. You need to see a doctor. They can test you and make sure you don't have endometrious (bleeding outside the fallopian tubes) or any other issues. Many times they will put you on an estrogen program (BC pills) to help regulate you. More importantly, you need to make sure you are okay. It's something that can be 'fixed' but you need to educate yourself and get some professional advice and support. There are too many things that 'yahoo community friends' can tell you and you still won't know.

I know alot of people that don't get there period monthly. One of my friends gets it about once every six months or so. I would probably go to the doctor though if it was me.

I was 16 also. I was very irregular and very heavy when I did have one. It will regulate as you get older, and mine got lighter after I had a child (at 26)
