People who associate "playing" with the stock market are usually speculators. Even people who do research in the stock market play by speculation. Very few people are investors. The few that fall into the investors category, don't play because it is their life.

I think the word "play" is used because speculators are completely unsure of winning or losing. Its like a slot machine for some people. Buying a stock is like pulling the handle on a slot machine. The house has an advantage over you.

In order to invest properly in the stock market you should do a lot of research even going some years back to check out the stocks. Find what you like and play the Field for what's good. And no everybody does not end up rich. That's another reason why its called playing the stock but good things can happen. Remember! Buy low & sale high. Play the stocks.

Well it is sort of a game. Think of the big corporations of a team and everybody wants theirs to become stronger/more expensive...haha

Lots of people get rich but I believe you need an inside connection to do that. It isn't sheer luck.
