i'm looking for the singer and orginal title of "who do you love"....the song that's sampled on LL Cool J's song Loungin'. The orginal song was from the 80's i think.

This one probably isn't the original, but it may be what you're looking for & thinking about. There was a version of the song released in 1985 by Bernard Wright titled "Who Do You Love". The web address below is a link to the album on Amazon.com so you can hear a sound clip. I don't think it actually gets to the chorus, but you should recognize the music. Chaka Khan also had a version in 1995 with Lenny White, if it's a woman that you remember hearing. The second link is to that album & a sound clip for it (only availble for RealPlayer).

The Doors and then George Thorogood and the Destroyers later on but LL Cool J's version sounds a little different.

No No No you young whippersnappers! The song was written by Bo Diddley aka Ellis McDaniel in the 1950's! Another good version
is by Tom Rush

Almost NONE of Thorogoods famous songs were written by him, his whole style is copped from John Lee Hooker and other old blues guys.
