I'm a little bit nervous about the move, I'd really appreciate any input about the area if anyone knows it or the school at all. I just want to feel better and more confident about it... i've live in the same small town in Northern CA my whole life. Thanks!

as far as california goes san luis obispo is still northern california. beach towns to the south, 5-cities, pismo, arroyo grande... rural farming/wineries to the north, atasacadero, templeton, paso robles. many in these areas still leave their keys in their cars and don't lock their doors at night. the school is outstanding both students and faculty. the only trouble i've heard was about 8yrs ago a female student was killed in her off campus apartment. i don't remember if they ever figured-out who/why. but thats 1 in the 25yrs I've been in the area.

San Luis Obispo is a great city.I lived there for a couple of years, and I can't find fault with anything. Thurs. nights (all year) is the farmers market. Lots of food, entertainment, and really nice people. The weather is about the same as So. Cal. I didn't go to the college, but always heard positive things about it. The students I had contact with were very nice and respectful. I'm sure you will like it.
