I heard from lots of commercials that miracle-Gro works but feeding it daily and watering it is an important job. Try moving the location of the plant to a window where sunlight shines, or if there is too much sun move it to a cooler place.
If you live in apartment or somewhere with a balcony put it out there for awhile.
And as you say glass vase, do you mean plats or flowers, because you stated plants? Try changing the pot to something more convinient and spacious, and make sure the soil is good.

if they are picked flowers then you need to clean the vase out every 2 to 3 days and pour a little 7up or sprite in the water!

Cut off about 1/8 of an in. every day or so, and change the water frequently. Also, you can pick up packets of plant food at your local florist which really help.

Flower shops now carry pouches of powder that can be disolved in the water. (1) aspirin will do the same thing.
