I'm almost 6 months pregnant, and I started an office job right around the time I got pregnant. Sometimes, after sitting for a while and I stand up, when I try and sit down again I can't because my tail bone hurts so bad. Why is this? Is it related to my pregnancy?

Most likely it is related to your pregnancy...your body is going through a lot of changes right now, and as your belly gets bigger it puts more and more pressure on your back and spine.

I would suggest that every half hour or so you should get up and walk around for a minute or two and then sit back down, that way your body doesnt get too stiff and makes it painful for you to sit at all!

Its completely normal during pregnacy i had it from arond six months until after my son was born. I would try not to sit for long periods of time and when you are sitting try to sit on a pillow! This helped me a little.

GOOD LUCK!!

that happened to me too, but it wasn't that bad. if it really hurts try putting a pillow on the chair to cushion your bones. if it gets really bad i would talk to your doctor. in fact, just to be safe, bring it up at your next prenatal visit.

congratulations!

Could be a bruised tailbone or a pilonidal cyst.
