It is extremely old and came on Lifetime in the 90's sometime...
It has Tiffany Amber Theisen (kelly, on saved by the bell) starring in it and who looks to be maybe Jodi Foster or someone who looks like her. A group of girls are jealous of Tiffany Theisen because she is so pretty and the girls who pretend to be her friends wind up killing her by luring her to a creek, then put a huge log over her head so she drowns and her mom is waiting for her all night. Mom winds up falling asleep on the porch swing waiting for her daughter to come home but she never does. One of the friends are jealous because she thinks Tiffany is hitting on her boyfriend but it's really the boyfriend that was hitting on the friend. When they find out who kills her, I remember the mom walking up to the betraying friend and she slaps the sh** out of her before she gets locked up? It was an awesome movie but I don't know what it's called. CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?

I am not making fun of you, but I laughed when I read, "It is extremely old" and then Followed it up with "It has Tiffany Amber Theisen...staring in it..."
I just think it is funny that you would call that extremely old...giggle.

But I think you've got the plot all wrong-it had some aliens in it and a man called spock, and they ran around a planet THEN killed a girl with a log.
