It boils down to the Tao-ist ideal of Yin/Yang. (not being sarcastic) Without darkness there is no light, without ugliness beauty does'nt exist.
It's tragic, but there are butchers and cruelty out there. But it's because of this that we get: Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela. It's the most aweful circumstances, human degredation that create people like this. These and others like them become examples of how great and beautiful it's possible for we human beings to really be.
Even though we're grown up, and the mundane is boring, our children can remind us how enchanting, and new everything was and can be. If we're only wise enough to pay attention to them.
It may sound corny, but a baby's smile or laughter; a toddler's fascination and delight over the most simple things should remind us how we USED to look at the world. A lexus, yacht, or supermodel is meaningless to them, and they're still happy.

Because the world is full of sin. Sometimes the ugliness of sin over clouds the the beautiful things that God gave us. Have u ever seen the Rainbow? That's proof enough for me that "Goodness" with over come the evil of sin. :)

That is life. You can find beauty in the ugly if you try. Like a Lotus. That is the perfect example. Lotus flowers are gorgeou but they grow in the most nasty merky waters.

Since time began there has always been "good and evil" and it hasn't changed...there are people who just want for themselves and do not express love for others.....it's just part of their makeup. For all the strange people in the world there are the beautiful ones.who are not egotistical..who are enriched by giving to others and put themselves last.

It depend on how you can see world ? maybe in 1 sec it the best time for one person and maybe ugly time for another person.
