i'm trying to get pregnant i take clomid and sometimes it makes me dry, so my dr. said i can use ky gel but i thought it kills the sperms are there different types of ky gel for trying to get pregnant?

Dear Friend - KY JELLY is a LUBRICANT. Its main purpose is to help lubricate areas that are dry and hard to penetrate. Your use of Clomid should increase your chances of pregnancy, but the KY will not kill the sperm. Good luck to you.

Well it seems that some of these people dont know a lot about KY. KY is not a spermacidal but it does affect them. Sperm cannot move correctly in KY as sperm require a certain acidity and Ph. As this does not kill them, they will still have trouble getting to where they need to go. PreSeed is a proven lubricant that is specially made to meet the acidity and Ph of Semen as to give sperm the best chance to get up there to that egg. There have been many studies on this and it is proven. PreSeed is made for couples who are trying to conceive.

KY has too high a PH level and kills off sperm. You're best off with a product like preseed that has a low PH level and was created just for couples trying to conceive

ky gel cant kill sperm its only a lubercant not a spermaside. i had no problem getting pregnant twice useing that stuff. well i use the equate brand but still same thing

Actually it kills of some sperm, (not all) But, if you are trying to concieve, Do it all natural! I don't mean to be explicit, but give your man some oral, and let him do it in retuen. Then their are no chemicals, it's all natural. And you will be able to eliminate the KY Gel. Good Luck Mama!

Yes, KY Jelly can kill his sperm, so can saliva! The best thing to try is PreSeed. It's specifically designed for people trying to conceive, and is proven not to kill sperm. It's also a great lubricant. (We use it, and it works great.)

KY has a jelly and a lubricant. I have recently brought the lubricant and on the back of the label it says that the product is not a contraceptive and does not contain spermicide. My husband and I are now trying to conceive.
