Kilalita's answer is typical of Americans. Power is everything- the state of mind of the school bully.

In further reply to Kilalita,
I've taken this link from another poster.
Aid per GNP

The per GNP figures are more relevant than the total.

2006-06-26 10:49:00 · update #3

The exchange rate is not relevant to the proportion of GNP figures.

Actually I don't really hate America-most of us don't but this administration has a unique "we don't care what you think because we know best" attitude that has made the rest of the world very angry.

No. Besides the fact that, unfortunately, people who hate America are dispersed throughout the world, the earth's orbit is dependent on its momentum. Since momentum is mass x velocity and we are all part of that mass whether we're jumping or not, the momentum and therefore, the orbit, will not change.

Everyone that "hates" America, sure loves us when they need our money, with the exception of terrorists of course. Have a natural disaster or major terrorist attack in Europe and see how quickly they become our friends again.

MY answer is the answer of someone that has not only lived in America but has spent months in Great Britain and met many people that are not American.

America has been protested in Europe for not funding enough AIDS research and yet we fund more than most of Europe if not all of Europe put together. Whether you like it or not, the rest of the world loves to bad mouth American unless they need our money and then they will "play nice" because they know we will always be there. America has it's faults just like every country. But anyone that denies that we do much to help other countries is either ignorant or just stuck in "anti-America" mode.

Why do you hate America? There is a difference between disliking politiicans and political propoganda and hating the country. Do you hate the people that work long hard days to make a living? Do you hate the American soldiers that go off to various parts of the world and fight in wars so that you have the freedom to ask questions like this? Your question wasn't aimed at any Government or foreign policy. "America" is far more than rich, self absorbed, partisan politicians. The people make up the country.

Also your web site still proves that the U.S gave more money than other countries and it gives percents, all in the U.S. dollar. It doesn't take into account the value of the dollar versus the other currencies (i.e. the Great Britain pound is nearly worth double what the dollar is now, so we have to give twice as much to equal what they give)

I'm not defending this administration, I'm defending the honor of the country and the people that live here. I get disgusted when I hear ignornat Americans make negative comments about places like France. France has many hard working, clean, industrial citizens. If someone disagrees with the politics, they should say so. But to attack a country is to attack the people that live there and make it what it is.

On another note, many people in other countries are led to believe (by their media mostly) that all American's are ignorant hillbillies or we are all like the Hollywood elitists that think they represent us. You would be surprised how many people are surprised when they meet Americans and find out that most of us are hard working, honest people that will help others. People that have met Americans usually have different opinions than those that haven't. (though that's not saying that some Americans don't deserve the stereotypes)

While I understand this question was asked as a passive-aggressive way of stating a large number of people dislike America, I'm going to answer this scientifically. Why? Because I've heard this myth before (that getting enough people to jump simultaneously would affect Earth's orbit), and I want to dispel it.

For one thing, if you took the combined biomass of every living thing on earth (plants and animals combined), it would equal such a miniscule fraction of the Earth's total mass that it would be similar to a housefly striking a speeding freight train.

Second, the force of everyone jumping simultaneously would cancel itself out. As everyone jumps, they're pushing themselves away from the Earth. However since the force of their jump is not sufficient to defeat Earth's escape velocity, gravity will pull them back together, canceling out the energy of the jump entirely.

Probably not. It is arrogance to believe that the parasitic insects that we are could knock the earth from its orbit.
And quite simply, the world would go to hell if it weren't for America. Trust me when I say that the socialists aren't going to save the day any more than Republicans or squirrels.

Do you mean genuinely everyone who's jealous of united states of america because of the fact we've kicked genuinely everyone's a$$ on earth? not something might happen because of the fact genuinely everyone seems to be extensive-unfold with we (US) have adequate nukes to coach this planet into mars over night.

Where do you live? My hunch is that you live in America. So, until you have lived in another country, for as long as you have lived here, don't talk about how bad America is. Go live in Africa or Mexico for a few years, then come back and tell me how "aweful" America is. Give me a break.

There aren't enough Frenchmen to cause the Earth to shift. The sand would absorb most of the terrorist's landing.

Probably. This country is a big bully to other parts of the world. People just don't like bullies.

Probably so.
This question made me laugh. Don't pay attention to the geeks who think America is all and mighty, they odviously don't know how curupted this country is. I'm glad I was born here, but I can't say I'm proud of my country.
