my husband had just gotten home from a long day at work he was tired and frusterated. I had been home with three kids all day not able to leave the house. I knew he had a hard day but I needed milk from the store so I sent him, cause I can't drive. when he returned I was upstairs putting the boys to bed. by the time I came down he pretended to be asleep on the chair while I walked into our room to check on the baby. when I came back out he had a single rose on his chest for me. regardless of his hard day he thought about me and had got it at the store just to see me smile. It was the sweetest thng ever.

The nicest gift I was ever given was the ability to read. I was seven y/o when my father and I moved to Memphis, TN from a rural area in Arkansas. My aunt discovered that I could not read and over the summer I went from knowing only the alphabet to being able to read books. From there I went on to teach many students to read, write and hopefully think independently.

Thanks Aunt Elnora!!!

A chopping board with a hand drawn picture of a peace-pipe smoking tiger duck.

Honestly - I did get one from a complete stranger while busking in Germany in 1996!

Once, when opening christmas gifts, my sis opened a garfield telephone from our mother. I am the cat lover in the family. I yelled out, ' That should be mine'. But I did have one. I just hadn't gotten to it yet. Everyone still laughs at me over that. I loved that phone so much just because of that.

My boyfriend gave me a leather bond cased copy of the complete works of Shakespeare for my last birthday. He's so perfect. And hot too.
