i don't mean as an actor i'm too fat and old for that and besides i'm not interested in that. i want something behind the scenes not in front of the camera. ideally, i would like a job on the set where all the action is. ( i know, i'm a perv, i like to watch ) That would be my ideal job but i would settle for just about anything in the adult movie business since it is so lucrative. So how do i go about getting into this field? What qualifications do i need? does anybody know?

Your best bet is to find some people with equipment and take it from there. Realistically, you only need a digital camera, a boom mike, and AVID editing equipment, which can easily be purchased for a computer.
The tougher part comes from distribution and production of a DVD.
Little hint, porn is not a great industry to make a buck.
Otherwise, go to LA. You really don't need qualifications. You just need to meet some people. Everyone in LA knows someone in porn.

Most of the porn in the United States is made in the San Fernando Valley, Southern California. You might go there and look into places where the porn people hang out. It would help if you had some back stage experience. It also helps if you know some one in the business. Good Luck!

Um, go to film school to learn a trade (key grip, gaffer, whatever) and then move to Hollywood and, well, I'm sure they'll find you.
