First of all, if you knew the first thing about Stephen Colbert, you'd know that his name is STEPHEN, not STEVEN. EVERYONE should know that Stephen Colbert is the single greatest newscaster on television. He is NEVER wrong. DUH! How dare you even suggest that what he says might be a JOKE? GOD! Don't you even WATCH his show? It's totally serious. GEEZ... What a NERD! In case Stephen is reading this I LOVE YOU, YOU ARE MY HERO!

actaully, I'm a coservative, and frankly the question of lumping everyone together and saying 'fly in the face of reality' is as dangerous as saying all jews are out to rule the world.
You make a bad misconception- republicans and conservatives are not the same. Right now, the republican party is dominated by the conservatives, but that may not or has not always been the case. And I could also make a counterpoint to the liberal viewpoint. As for what you said:
1. bc there is not enough evidence for global warming. Do you think measuring temps from 100yrs is a good sample size? How come the 2 leading experts from America and the 2 leading experts from Canada both disagree? How come the data presented starts directly after the period known as the little ice age? Is it happening, I don't think so, but I don't know. I don't know how old you are, but I don't know if you remember in the late 70s there were scientists doing the same thing saying we were going through global cooling. They actually suggested taking ash from volcanos and spreading it on ice caps to melt them fast (and that was only 30 yrs ago)
2. I don't know anyone who questions people being born gay
3. I don't think that creationism or evolution are correct. Actually fossil records and carbon testing actually disprove both. Yes, that's right, both. Most conservatives don't believe that the world was created in 7 days, but rather that there is some greater power than humans that started it.
4. I don't know anyone who believes sadam was part of 9/11. Actually, it was proven by the 9/11 comish that he was not. But he was a man who had chemical weapons that would be more than willing to sell them to our enemies. And if you look on a map you can cut off Iran if you had an alli in Iraq. It was more of setting up the future and removing a murderer than a 9/11 thing
So I could ask the same group of questions about liberals. Hope this provided some insight without the bs name calling

I am a conservative and would like to answer some of your statements.
Global warming- I am not really up on the arguments, but one thing I am sure about is that Al Gore (while being a good spokesperson) is by no means an expert on it.
People being born gay- maybe, but I have seen too many people say they are gay who have been married and have children with a member of the opposite sex (ie. act heterosexual).
evolution- has not been scientifically proven, the concept does not coincide with archaeological proof, the fossil record. If evolution were true there would be fossils of some very odd looking mutated beings.
Saddam responsible for 9/11- no one has ever said Saddam was responsible for 9/11. The Iraqi government had not allowed weapons inspectors in their country for 12 years (a breach of their UN agreement) they were also trying to buy uranium from an African country. It was also concluded that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. That is why we went to war with Iraq.
Abstinence- at this point in time I would say abstinence is not so much birth control as self- preservation.
Obviously, reality is relative.

I agree with the statement/question. It's something that has been evolving for a while now. What's happening is the effects of previous decisions are now being felt, through new legislation that's been trying to pass for decades, finally getting through. All this terrorist BS is a sick and twisted diversion to keep us from paying attention to the shite they do at home. And by they, I mean those pompous asshats who think they own the world. How long will they be able to provoke us into fighting each other? How long, before we decide we've had enough. Anyways....
Steven Colbert makes me laugh really hard 2 to 5 times per show. I laugh more at Stewart because he's freakin hot! And girls can't help laughing more when a cute guy is talking to them. Apparently even when they're on tv!

You actually think Stephen Colbert was serious!! Oh, right, back to the question: Stephen Colbert's job is simply to insult Conservatives using ridiculous sarcasm. Have you ever seen The Word portion of his show, where the text makes fun of Conservatives, that is his writing. But yes, that is what republicans think

I think you forgot a few talking points so you might want to go back and get reindoctrinated. If you can't see the humor in Steven Colbert, you are obviously not ready to play grown-up.

Steven Colbert is a comedian with a liberal POV--laugh because he is funny but research for yourself before forming opinions
