It's not only morally allowable, it's absolutely necessary. If anyone can take someone else's life and not pay the ultimate price for it, what does that say about the lack of value we as a society place on life? Of course for more on that view, see the pro-abortion movement. How is it that a group can be against killing criminals but for killing babies that never hurt anyone? That's what boggles my mind.

Murders... rapists... drunk drivers that have killed or severly injured (maybe more than one person or multiple times).. I feel should be put to death.. they're a menace and danger to society.
For those who think that the person putting the needle in or pulling the switch are murders.... nope.. they're just doing a job that is legal and necessary.. and I'd do it... least-ways I'd try it to see if I could do it... but... I look at it this way... if a guy has raped and murdered a.. say.. 12 year old girl... maybe he tortured her as well... how can anyone think the guy deserves to live??? He does not.. and my taxes should not go to keeping him alive and living semi-comfortable in jail... eating better than most people.. keeping warm and dry.. and not having to work.. where's the justice in that!?? Nope... there isn't any... put them to death.. humanity is better off and the money saved can go toward helping those that can be helped and that want to be helped.

Yes absolutely. Killing is a natural part of life. If taken to an extreme, that's bad. If taken to the other extreme (no killing anything ever), that's bad too. Like most things in life, balance between the two is key. If a serial killer can't be rehabilitated, then he should be taken out of society. To let him loose, or even leave him in jail is to gaurantee he'll do it again. Killing is not as immoral as buddism would have you believe.

Yes, we need the punishment to fit the crime. To often criminals get far too easy a prison sentence for murderers and they get released after only 10 yrs. I recall, the Joel Steinberg case in NYC he killed an illegally adopted daughter of his who was only 6 yrs old. He only served about 17 yrs behind bars and he never once showed an ounce of remorse.

I say boil him in a giant pot of hot oil until he is fried to a golden brown EXTRA CRISPY!!!!

The stupid liberals are all hypocrits when it comes to this issue. If one of their own loved ones was god forbid murdered by some wacko, they would scream for revenge. But if someone elses loved one was killed they scream NO DEATH PENALTY!!!

How stupid!!!!

I believe that legal execution is. It even says in the bible, an eye for an eye and that we should obey the laws of God and Government. I am a supporter of the Death penalty.

To put it in a way that can be understood by all: YES. Why are we paying for prisoners to have cable, computer access, schooling, and jobs when we cannot say the same thing for our poorest people?

Now, if you are talking killing for terrorism sake, then I say the following: Go ahead and terorrize me, I will hut you down, and make sure you meet your maker.

Does that answer your question?

I think if it had not been, Jesus would not have allowed those two on the Cross to be killed. When all human characteristics are gone in the person, they are no better than the Reptiles. and do not serve society in any good way.

Yes - Unfortunatly our society has not progressed to the point that criminals do not kill innocent people , thereby forcing society as a whole to judge them in an equal mannor.

It's not pretty but it is a strong deturrant to capital crime.

I believe if the bible says "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" then an execution for something like murder is just as acceptable.

Murder no; executions yes, if it is as a result of a trial and in accordance with applicable laws.
