You don't need to but if you don't it will catch up with you. Unless the warrant states otherwise. Peace.

If your wife has the citation still, contact the Court information that should be listed on the Citation. If she doesn't have it contact the Law Enforcement Agency that issued her the citation and get the Court information from them. Some have a Municipal Court(Local) while others go through the Circuit Court system(Countywide). Getting a Lawyer would be pointless because she missed the Court date and was found guilty because of this. Find out what the Bond amount for the warrant is and pay it at the Court Clerk's Office or you can post with the Police Dept. The warrant will be "Quashed" then and there. KEEP THE PAYMENT RECEIPT! just in case though. If her Driver's Lic. was suspended solely because she failed to appear and didn't pay the fine that was imposed by the Court, the court can rescind the order to suspend with your state's DMV and she'll be reinstated. If it was because of the violation and her driving record, she's going to have to wait. The Court Clerk should be able to provide this information to you. But the Bottom line is, PAY THE FINE, NOW!

No if you paid the fine which should be more than the original ticket for late fees.

That was a bench warrant that if pulled over for a traffic offense and a background check was completed would have allowed the officer to put you under arrest for outstanding warrants but usually a reminder is all that occurs and where to go to get the fine paid.

You would have also had problems renewing your driver's license with this unpaid fine still on your records.

I know from past experience

If you were issued a warrant even though you paid the fine the warrant is still there, you probably need to turn yourself in and go to court and get that cleared up.

If ya paid up, you don't need to be at the court. But, if you failed to appear in court, a warrant will be placed on your head. Then you would be arrested and would have to face the magistrate. He/She will either let you go home or have you locked up depending on the crime and your record. A new court date will be placed on the docket. Go to court to see if you can get community service as apposed to jail time. If you have children or a job and ya aint a flight risk, try for weekend community service.

Report to the court your warrant referred to and speak to the Judge or his secretary. You may get a butt chewing but you are good to go now.
