I'm a brunette, and I've been told my whole life that blondes are more attractive to men than brunettes. Is this true? Explain. Please no rude/mean answers.

I prefer that a girl have enough self esteem to be happy with the hair color she was born with, no matter what color, instead of trying to live up to someone else's expectaions. Natural looks best, no matter what.

In a magazine I once read an article about this very question. They took a poll of about 500 men I think about what color they prefer and the majority actually prefered light brown hair and blonds and dark brunettes tied for second place. So I guess blonds aren't more attractive after all!

Yes, it is.
Not so much to me but when I was in college I dated 3 different women a week for two years to gain experience. The blonds had such an advantage and men would really cater to them while the brunettes might have been much prettier but were more often overlooked.
The way I see it, a man has a better chance of a good woman if he goes brunette. You can always die the hair.

I have to disagree with the men you talk to. I know for a fact that brunettes are not only more attractive, but better in everything. Just look at blondes in general. Every body wants to be one. Because that's what they are, typical, average. brown hair and any color eyes, is what I'll pick over anything, any day.

Blond/brunette 6 of one half a dozen of another. What matters is whats under the hair. In which case its usually a brunette.

No, just a society thing. It used to, back in colonial times and some time before that, that brunettes were the preference.

Personally, I have slighty deep rooted hatred for blondes because of the stereotypes imposed on them. Thus far, none of the ones that I have met have given me any reason to unseat this hatred, and so I have a much higher preference for brunettes/black-haired individuals.

Blondes are for short term relationships and one night stands, brunettes are for life

I learned that the reason this is is because natural blondes are harder to find, thus they are more noticeable (like when driving down the road or in a club). It isn't that they are more beautiful or attractive, just that they are more rare, so men are more curious and drawn to it.

I'm a blonde who died her hair brown to keep stupid guys from asking if my hair was also blonde else-where and keep guys from saying crap like "you're so pretty, you have blonde hair" like being pretty has to do with hair color!

Brunettes by far. Blondes are a dime a dozen.

Yes I do prefer blondes. It's hard to explain. It's just the attraction that I personally have.
