I have this guy friend and i love him to death. We do tons of stuff together. We also text, he always askes me to the movies and to hang out at his place. Recently when i was at his house he snuggled against me and we just layed there for a while. He always finds a way to put his arm around me and just touch me. High School started the other day and this new boy and I are interessted in each other. My guy friend wants to meet him, and promises he wont embarass me. He has also begun to get sort of distant? Do you think hes jealous? How can I get a conversation going again?

If you want to know the truth don't waste time just ask him. Perhaps you feel more for him than you are admitting to yourself. In any event, always be honest with yourself and with those that love you. And it could just be he is an affectionate person. Don't try to make it more than what it is unless you feel more. Then say it. If it is not something that may cause conflict then don't try to fix it. Its not broken.

OF course he's jealous. He's been taking it slow out of total respect for you and now he feels like he was spit on. Part of that is because he was either too afraid to make a move and be rejected or he's just an incredibly affectionate friend. Highly doubt it's the latter of the two. You simply say this:

"Listen, I really love our friendship and I love hanging out with you, I've noticed you being a bit distant (give him an example of how-guys need something concrete) lately and it hurts me. Is there anything I've done to upset you or cause you to feel distant?" And then see what he says.

You can even say "It seemed as though you might have had feelings for me but I never really knew. Do you?".

Don't be afraid, just ask it, say it and you will be an incredible person as a result.

Your gonna have to decide what you want ...if you want your guy friend more than a friend ...it seems like he might be interested in you more than a friend if he tries to cuddle with you and touch you, He is probably jealous and wont admit it. Sometimes the guys who are your best friend like that are always better as a boyfriend. Do u love him as you would a boyfriend or just friend you have to decide with your heart .... And the guy u just met are you really interested in more than a friend ? You have to decide. You also need to have a heart to heart with this guy friend you say u love to death and see where things stand. You both need to lay your feelings out on the table and go from there. good luck.

That's a terrible way to come in under the radar, being your friend and then switching it around on you. do you really want anything from someone that is that sneaky and has no backbone? you feel obligated to like him back because he is your friend, just tell him if he is trying to turn the friend thing into more, he will get the same treatment any guy that is trying to date you gets, and he can't use that "but I'm your friend" crap. he is not your friend any more.

I think he likes you. Just have a talk with him, that might help. Tell him how you feel and ask him how he feels. I think he doesnt want ot lose you and he's a little jealous.
