He was close friends with Jonathan and the Bible doesn't say more than that, but it clearly says he slept with a LOT of women. So, decide for yourself.

No, David was not gay! In a world that tend to be cold and cynical, the idea of strong devoted friendship between two persons of the same sex, is hard to understand and is therefore easily labeled as "they must really be gay."
David and Jonathan where blessed with a very special friendship; the deep respect and adoration they shared for each other was so strong that it is best described by the fact that not even their love for the opposite sex was greater!!
I think the verse you referred to is mainly wanting to make a point.

Read the Bible. It will tell you, besides like most people here have stated i doubt he is homosexual.

And Frank, the bible is one of the most accurate sources of historical documents in the world. Luke has been labeled by some as the greatest historian of all time. Do some research on what you believe, truly understand reality, it does not make sense without God.

There is the passage that says Jonathan loved David as his own soul - and further says they kissed. But as with most of the Bible, it's impossible to apply today's understanding of homosexuality on these brief and vague verses. Perhaps that's what it means. Perhaps not. What do you think? Your guess is as good as anyone else's, despite anyone who may tell you there's one true interpretation.

David only loved Jonathon a close friend, not as a soul mate. Besides, why would God be so happy with David if he was gay. Please Read the Bible to find out these answers.

No. He had a man killed so he could sleep with his wife. Does that sound like a homosexual to you? And God would not have favored him if he was gay, nor would he be a descendant of Jesus. That was suppose to be a blessing and he would not have received it if he was a homosexual.

no. if you have read your Bible, you will notice that in reading, the Bible shows no mention of homosexuality. If David was gay, it ws the gay of the dictionary meaning HAPPY.

I think that just implies they were friends...but that totally is possible. He had wives though, but the Bible isn't an accurate historical source in any case.
