Depending on which state you reside, 2 weeks to 6 months of training is required. I have been an advanced NA for 3 years, work in a hospital, and make a good salary. I found my job at the below website. Good Luck!

You can become a nurse's aid in something like 8 months (I'm sure it depends on the state but it's not even college). You can get a nursing degree in 2 years though and then there is another that takes 4 years (One's an RN and one's an LPN and for some reason I can never keep them straight but I know a lot of nursing students).

Check out local community colleges in your area for different programs. A lot of the community colleges in my area offer the 4 year degree through the community college (and another institution but you take all the classes at the community college). You can also check out vocational schools.

Good luck!

Please see website for your response. FYI - depending upon where you live and your state's requirements for the medical field - a nursing assistant can usually complete a program in 12-18 months. Please website for more information and contact your local technical colleges. They can provide you accurate, and current information regarding enrollment, etc. as well as placement for job opportunities when you have completed your task. Good luck
