it shouldn't matter to anyone...what we do in our lives is our own buisness...stopping this is no different than someone banning hetro marriage...it's just life people.

Here's what I don't understand.
When two people get married, it is a personal choice. Marriage is a personal choice that could even go back to their religion. So if it's two people who love each other and want to get married I don't see why anyone else has to get all up in it. I can understand if someone wants to practice having multiple wives or something but when it's still between only two people, who cares what gender they are?? Nobody else will be affected by them, at least not any worse than if they saw a brand of food in a store they didn't like. It's a personal choice!
I know people say "It's in the bible and that's what America is founded on" and all that, but look at what America is. America is a melting pot that has so many races and religions and cultures. There are plenty of questionable actions that probably happen within other cultures or religions right in America but that's their culture and no one tries to outlaw it because it's their practice. Two gay people will not speak for all of America just like one person does not speak for the rest of their race. And if people have a problem with calling it "marriage" because of the "absolutely has to be with a man and woman" thing, then why don't we make a special little name for it so nobody has to complain over other people getting together under the same definition of straight people. I'm sure the gay people don't care, they just want to be able to legally do the same thing we do regardless of what you want to call it!
Honestly, will we all just die if two people of the same sex get married?? Even if we don't let them marry, there will still be gay relationships. What's the difference besides a legal contract that will not involve outsiders anyway!?
I say other people stop being whiners about everything THEY don't agree with and grow up and get on with their own lives. You can still live your life however you want it.

Nah. Not a good idea. That would lead the way for people to just get married to get benefits and insurance rates would skyrocket. As far as I am concerned a person can marry a one eyed Episcopalian kangaroo if that were there kinky inclination as long as it does not cost me money and I am certain this would. There are a few states that allow gay marriages already so I figure they can go there and get married if they want to so bad. gay marriage is not a Gay issue anymore it is a financial issue that I do not want to have to pay for.

Who are we to judge who can fall in love with who?
Would you like it if the government banned Straight Marriage and you were not able to legally claim married or get insurance for your spouse Etc.? I think not. Is it the governments responsability to regulate this? Absolutely not. This is a country of many races and cultures. For the government to be able to legally ban gay marriage they also have the power to legally ban say jewish or muslim practices? The governments ban on gay marriage is bias due to there reasoning being directly related to christianity.
Face it people like it or not, Your country The United States of America, was founded by immigrants from other countries.( It was technically stolen from the true ancestors the Indians who lived and prospered here long before the first settlers arrived and died due to their own ignorance of the seasons and lands they inhabited. (That is a whole other ballgame) ) This country was founded by diversity in thinking and culture. We would not be the country we are had we not fought for our rights to be free, this includes those races and females who had to fight extra hard and twice as long to finally be free themselves. Now how can anyone stand there and honestly say they have a right or reason to ban gay marriage?
Freedom is what this country stands for, not more opression of race, color, religion,or sexual pref's.
Just because something does not feel right to one person does not make it wrong for another.

Define gay marriage... A governmentally recognized union, with all the benefits of heterosexual marriages? There is no way I'd support that!

c'mon, you ARE gay, huh?
GAY PARTNERSHIPS GOOD(and ALREADY LEGAL,)
GAY MARRIAGE ( a religious contract recognized by government )
BAD.
This is just a ploy by the raddical gay lobby to force the gay lifestyle down the throat of the majority of heterosexuals in this country. Looks like they found another useful idiot in you-good JOB!!!

NO WAY, NEVER WILL I SUPPORT IT! its wrong and they shouldn't be accepted, and it has nothing to do with being closed minded, the fact is we were not meant to be gay! and gay people were NOT born gay!
