If you want a cheaper ride, take the shuttle. The port is about a good 25 minutes (w/out traffic) from the airport. Miami is a driving city. Public transit is for locals who know the area. They do have cabs readily available at the airport though.
Enjoy your cruise!

A cab is more expensive, but is a lot quicker and more convenient. You could also look into a private transfer which may be less than a cab.

cab is the easiest, but more expensive....the shuttle is cheaper and if you know the city than it is the best, but if you don't know your way around town I would pay the extra money to get a cab and not get lost.

shuttles probably take forever, it would probably be your best bet to just take a cab.
