HIV/AIDS is caused by a retro virus. It has been found in a troupe of monkeys in Africa. No one is absolutely sure how it crossed to humans, either through animal sex or through eating or preparing a diseased monkey for a meal. Urban legend says that it came to the Western Hemisphere with a male airline attendant who was VERY promiscuous. If you both are ABSOLUTELY SURE that neither one of you is infected with HIV/AIDS, then you will not contract HIV/AIDS. It isn't passed through the air, through drinking water, utensils, doorknobs or toilets. HIV/AIDS is passed through blood and body fluids. Yes, the HIV/AIDS virus is found in tears and saliva, but, in very small amounts. Problem is that it could take up to 7 years to start to show in your bloodstream. So, if either one of you had unprotected sex within the past 7 years, it is possible that one of you might be infected. TAKE NO CHANCES. USE PROTECTION.

That is a good question, there are many misonceptions about aids.
You can't just be walking down the street one day and suddenly you have AIDS (the disease). The best prevention is not to use used syringes, or have unprotected sex( it is still possible to get aids through protected sex), in actual fact you should refrain from sexaul activities all together until you know for a fact you can trust your partner, say like when you get married.
Most people accept the theory that aids is a trans species disease, i.e. some guy humped a monkey and then slept a round. Homosexuals and bisexuals spread the disease and now everyone is at risk.
The monkey/ape/baboon thing is not what traditional black africans believe. In south africa and some other african countires some believe that the white man invented aids to control the ever growing black population. Some believe it was created in a laboratory. In Africa some white people think of HIV/AIDS as a blacks only disease, that is why the spread of aids is so prevailent in africa. Despite millions being spent on aids prevention and education in africa, aids is on the increase due to misconceptions that aids can be cured. some black africans believe there is a cure, and they are told many strange things by traditional healers (witch doctors/sangomas). In some instance men are told that if they have sex with a baby they will be curred.
Sort of moving away from your answer. sorry about that.
Wikipedia has a good wiki about aids

Well it is known that AIDS/HIV came from or originated back then long time ago, by a male that committed fornication, he had sex with another man (homosexual) and then he contracted it and then he passed it on to other humans.
And really you can’t get it if you and your partner don’t have AIDS but if your partner has been sleeping around with other peps than maybe you two need to be checked, because sometimes there are no symptoms.
By the way condoms or preservatives are not 100% safe, really it’s not what a lot people think, the best thing to do now days is to maintain abstinence in all the ways.

Aids is caused by a virus that is transmitted by blood or other body fluids. If neither you nor your partner have it then you cannot get it from each other. The trick is knowing for sure your potential sexual partner does not have it. This is one reason casual sex is so dangerous with other sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy also high on the list of consequences of casual sexual contact.
I suggest you type Aids/HIV into your browser and find a website that you like that offers a full explanation. Everyone would be wise to be educated about aids as it is a deadly disease best prevented as there is no cure at this time.

There are a few theories floating around out there about the origin of HIV - one of the most prevalent being that the virus was the result of mutation when monkey blood was used to create a polio vaccine in Africa.
Regardless of how the virus came to be - it doesn't spontaneously generate. A person cannot transmit a virus they themselves don't have. There are, however, other ways the virus can be contracted - blood transfusions, accidental contact with the blood or fluids of an infected person, etc...
To put it simply - "Can you have it with sex even if we both don't have it?" No.

I think that you have to be tested for it and then have no high risk encounters for 6 months and be tested again to make sure that you don't have it because it can take up to 6 months to get a positive test for HIV. After that if both partners are clean and don't engage in high risk behavior like sharing hypodermic needles with other people then the probability of catching it is almost zero unless one person is lying to the other person about what they do.
As to how it started, it may have started from improper medical practices or research in Africa that transferred the disease from monkeys to humans.

No. Getting AIDS isn't like getting the flu. It's not like, Ooops! I drank out of the same water fountain now I'm going to die. AIDS is caught like heroin. It's shot into you.(****, blood, etc.) It was started by some french pilot who was a fag and caught it from a monkey, (At least that's my understanding.) I'm sure somebody else will hook you up to a website all about AIDS awareness, but I won't. If you want to ****. ****. OK. Use a rubber and **** your brains out. There are other deadly diseases out there, like mad cow disease, but the Burger King isn't going to tell you about the risk you run eating an undercooked burger. Since Ice-T isn't speaking out on the pussy market I'll do it for him. Be cautious. But don't live in fear.

despite how it originated, it can't come from two people who don't have it.
it transfers from an infected person to another through any body fluid. So two virgins can't get it with each other.
Getting tested after sex and asking if a sexual partner has been tested is the best way to go. AIDS isn't the only disease out there. be careful.

Nobody really knows how HIV/AIDS originated. Most theories say that it was originally an animal virus that mutated to infect humans.
You can't get it from just having sex. Your partner would have to be infected.
The best way to protect yourself is to abstain from sex, but who wants to do that? Your best bet is a latex condom, without, yes, without spermicide.

There are many theories about how HIV started, but no one is 100% sure where it's from.
Someone puts him/herself at risk for getting HIV if he/she is exposed to infected blood, semen, vaginal fluid, or breastmilk. The infected fluid must get into the bloodstream through oral, rectal, or vaginal sex, sharing needles, infected blood transfusions, or a mother to baby. Someone has to be HIV + to pass it along. It won't just happen
