Since you don't know death, it would be wrong to call nasty. It might seem nasty this side of the afterlife, but we really don't know what lies on the other side.
But as for the other sad nasty things our "great" thinking skills have created.. i really do wish i wasn't a human.
A wild animal has no thoughts to spare for the 'meaning of life'. A wild animal needn't be bothered about the worldly things we humans are contantly worried about. As a wild animal, out basic primate thoughts will kick in, leaving no space for anything else.
So, i would love to be a free wild animal. An eagle would be a great choice. I would perhaps go for an animal far up north, where human interference is minimum!

Eagles are scavengers, they do not live very long, they get picked on by the crows, and they have to fly everywhere. I am quite happy that I am a human and when I think about how other animals live and the short, brutal lives they live, and the sorts of deaths that they suffer such as getting eaten alive by other animals or in some cases even plants and fungi, I become very happy to be a human living in north America. Nature, the closer you get the worse it looks!

There are a lot more nasty things in life than death. Many see that as one of the nicer things under the given circumstances.
Sometimes i wonder if i'm human cause i just can't get my head around the ignorance and narrow-mindedness of so many.
I wouldn't mind being a yew tree.

An eagle, huh? That's a great choice...A very magestic animal.
But, we are uncertain whether or not animals are aware of death.
I will say though, that I sometimes wish that I was totally impassive, and had no emotions whatsoever because pain and sorrow is everywhere in today's world. But hey, we have to live with it.

Okay weirdo. Eagles die too. They get shot like everyone else but i wish i was super -human so i couldn't die but then again you'd be stuck on this **** hole for good. That's the part that sucks. Reality sucks. Death sucks. It all sucks but yeah being human sucks even more. Wishing is all we could do but we are the sense of our own destruction.

But you don't know what you are before you became human, so what makes you think that humans are anything but a phase towards something better if only you knew that. A stagnating phase can't possibly be better than a chance for eternal paradise, i suppose.

Death is a liberation. The irony is that for most flying ability comes after liberation is obtained.
