Being in the book business, I can verify that there is no onsale-date/publishing date for this book as yet. The date 07/07/07 is a rumor only at this time.
Today’s (26 June 06) City Paper quotes J.K Rowling herself as stating:"I am feeling sad as it is the last one. But so far, so good." But when pressed on when the book would be ready for publication would only say "I'm doing well I think. You can never really tell till you get near the end. I am not quite there yet."

July next year. Around the 13th, cause that's when the next movie is coming out, and they're planning to release them together. The initial release date was gonna be the seventh of july (the 7th book released 7th of the 7th month 2007) but I don't know if they're gonna go with that specific date or just close to the movie's release date.

The only thing I know is 2 people die in it. As long as it's not Hermione, Prof. McGonagal or any of the Weasleys, I'm good.

i heard she chenged her mind and now she doesn't want to do it anymore so that was the last book, the previous one.
