Yes there will be a black president as well as a woman US president. It just won't be anytime soon.
In fact, there might be a hispanic US president before a black president.

Eventually I'm sure we'll have both.. How our society looks at both will determine. Sadly, the amount of racial bigotry, and sexism is still high enough, that both political parties are usually unwilling to choose these. They pick their candidate based on who they think will win. And of course, if that person is willing to run. Personally, I understood, but was disappointed when Colin Powell decided not to run for office. He'd have made an excellent president.
At the level of President political hopefuls are usually all about the same stripe. They're so inured in politics, that everything they say can be assumed to be B.S. All've been saying what they have to say to get votes they've forgotten HOW to be honest. It's what the person's DONE, his history that show what type of person they are.
If the candidate rocks, let's put him in office. Don't matter what color the person is. Though, I'm undecided on whether a woman pres is a good idea. If pre-menopause, we may face WWIII every
28 days. (just kiddin ladies)

Dont' think Hilliary can win if she does run. Men feel threatened by her and she's too strong for the average woman to appreciate.
Would like to know more about Barak Obama. Wouldn't hesitate to vote for him if I believe he would be free of the corruption of our present administration.
Condi, never, she is an elitist and an over protected snob.
Would have voted for Colin Powell, but he knew the reports of WMDs were in error and he buckled under to the Bush bunch.
We will never know the truth about his resignation, either. Wish he had been nominated.to run before Bush weaseled his way in.
Would have voted for him in a heartbeat..and , as is evident, I'm not a Republican, nor black either.Hope we have a a black, or a woman, or any combination of the two as President during our lifetime.

Black President? Not now, at least, there is just too much prejudice and bias going around, just having a black person run for president will cause HUGE rifts in the US
Woman president? We're getting close, with Mrs. Clinton and likes getting more media attention

I can't see why not. If the right person runs and is elected than good. You never know there might be a black woman as president in 2009.

Hillary Clinton would have some chances. Also, I would really like to see a black president in america.
But I guess gender or skin color doesn't really matter. What would really be nice would be wiseman as the State's president. A pragmatic philosopher or something similar.

If Sen. Barak Obama has anything to do about it....as for a woman, it certainly is about time. However, the current list leaves me a tad underwhelmed on both sides of the aisle.
Where is there another Eleanor?

I certainly hope there will be both! I've known a lot of black men and women who would be good in that roll...
