All time?!?
I've got a Victorian copy of "Punch" magazine which was supposed to be hilarious. I couldn't relate to anything in it. I suspect that most humour is about current stuff and wont last. That's why slapstick is funny, it's non-verbal and a pratfall is a pratfall any time, any culture. Out of fashion a bit now, except on "You've been framed".
i don't like Charlie Chaplin, but he was good in his early stuff.
