Well I don't know if you've heard of these writers but they are very good.
Victoria Christopher Murray books:

Jacquelin Thomas books:

Ain't No Valley (2005)
Michelle Stimpson books:
Divas of Damascus Road
Also Derek Jackson is another good writer. I read his book A Man Inspired it was awesome.

Barack Obama's autobiography was just re-released. It's not 'new' per se but it's still pretty good. He's had an amazing life.
