im a bowler and i had it also. it doesnt just affect your bowling either, i found it also hurt in things i did at home where your arm had to go in an upward motion.
it is tendonitis
what i did totally stopped it and wasnt expensive
at walmart there is an armband in the pharmacy section it has an air pillow in it (i cant remember what it is called) the band goes right below the elbow and the air cushion goes toward the outside of the arm and i wore it everytime i bowled and never had any more problems.
it worked great
hope this helps

Quit bowling. No, see a doctor, if something is wrong with your arm, do you really think someone on Yahoo! will be able to tell you without even knowing anything about you?

You might be pulling a muscle. Try wearing a wrist guard (not too expensive). It will help. I know because I used to get a pain in my wrist that shot up to my elbow and once I started wearing the wrist guard, the pain stopped. Good luck.....and I hope you bowl a 300 next time! :)

I bowled once... damn near threw my arm out of it's socket. I realized it's because I wasn't letting go of the ball. Damn those things are heavy. well no help from me bacause I don't bowl anymore. Good luck and I hope your arm feels better.

lactose acid build up.
believe me, dont listen to the others.
it will go in 1 week , take a break , its a normal response to repeated muscular activity involving adenosine triphosphate and adenoside diphosphate nucleotides.
perhaps also, you might consider rest to heal all muscular microtears from bowling.
it will heal with rest, but if you frequent it, you will feel sore rarer

Go see a chiropractor. You have a repetitive injury and you should be getting therapy on it.
