Have you any concept of how much thermite and how the building would have to be prepared to achieve this? The prep' work would have taken weeks and it would have been like hanging a giant sign over the building ... this is not just a couple of satchel charges left around the building (unless you are in Hollywood).

Also, what is 'freefall' supposed to mean in this context ... did someone drop the building from a height? A steelwork failure is inevitably catastrophic - after a point the building is unable to support its own weight and collapses VERY quickly. I have seen the films and I don't get the problem - the buildings collapse just how a catastrophic failure would make it collapse.

I have seen the pictures claiming to be thermite and it is total bollocks. I work with Engineers and every one I have talked to is unsurprised that a trussed steel building would come down like that under the circumstances. Fire is the natural enemy of structural steel - BTW the temperature "evidence" is total crap if you know anything about fire in buildings.

If you are alluding to the stuff in the loose change video then look at some of the alternate sites (the Wikipedia one has some very telling info and links to others).
