No, I don't think she's plus sized. She has gained weight which she's admitted to but I don't even think she's even a size 14 at this point. She might be a 10 which is still perfect to me but to the modeling world a 10 might as well be a 24 cause it's probably more than twice as big as what a top model is. She retired because she was bored with being a model and tired of always watching what she eats. But mostly, it was because she is ambitious and is branching out to so many more opportunities like her talk show and ANTM. She is so talented.

I don't know if shes plus size but most people are off on what is considered plus size in the modeling world.

Their plus size starts at a size 10/12 and goes to about a 24/26.
You can check most modeling agency websites the majority of they're models (plus models) are a size 14 but the category starts at 10/12. If the girl is taller then shes probably a 12 and will still be considered plus size, they don't look at how thin you are, they look at the number on the tag of your pants.

No Tyra is not plus size but she does not have to worry about dieting anymore since she no longer models. I feel that she looks better now than she did before and there is nothing wrong with a woman who decides to look like a normal woman instead of a sick person who lost a lot of weight.

Tyra Banks is hardly plus-sized! She's a size 8 for crap's sake - same size as me and I know I'm not plus-sized by any stretch of the imagination. She has always been a curvy girl and when you put her next to size 2-4 models of course she looks bigger!

Tyra really got it going on. Think of it. First she's traveled all over the world being a High Fashion Model. The she put together ANTM, now her own talk show. Talking about a woman who has it all. I hope she's happy and content. She looks heavier than most because almost everyone else in Hollywood is tooooo thin. Nobody wants a bone but a dog. I think she is beautiful and intelligent. I do think she's a bit embarrassed of Black people. I hope it's not true; but it seems that way sometimes.

I think for a model, she is plus size! But she could still work the runway...Tyra is a great example of what a person should do after the "prime" of their career. She has opened doors for other models and even is helping those who are not looking for a career in entertainment.

I model...and I once went to this modeling agency before, that wanted me for a print and they told me that I was a PLUS SIZE and that what they would catogorize me as....im a size 6 and I todl them I was 135lbs. ( true size) and they looked at me and said that I was lying like: "are you sure..or you wish you were that size.". I was so offended. they felt dumb when I stepped on the scale. I got my money. But never kept in touch with those delusional b!tches! IM NOT FAT..I used to be a gymnast for crying out loud!!! If I was soo fat. Why in the hell can I still tumble to back flips with out my fat *** falling flat on my face to the ground. hahahaha

i think she's over 30 and is pretty much too old for runway anymore by most modeling standards def not plus sized - she does look more realistic now very curvy and voluptuous- still would look great in VS but not like a coat hanger for runway -- but like someone else said she has new ventures American's top model and her talk show, so she's trying to be Oprah sort of I guess and create a Tyra brand or something like that hth

I don't think Tyra is plus size. She has always been curvy. She is tall and her curves look great in victoria secret lingerie. She has the confidence to be a model and she has a pretty face. I think that is what has carried her through being a supermodel.

I think she's curvy and looks great but compare to the high fashion world she might be considered plus size though i don't see it.
She retired from modelling because she couldn't stand the pressure and the bitchiness of the industry.
