if you've seen The Da Vinci code, what would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 5? Is the book better than the movie?

The movie was alright, but the book was much better. The acting of a few of the characters really helped the movie, like Paul Bettany and Ian McKellen, but some of the film was just silly, like the pastel toned flashbacks and a silly line about "cane marks in the dust". I mean, how can there be an inch of dust on the floor of Westminster Abbey. Don't they sweep!? I would recommend the book before the movie. My rating for it: 3.5

I thought the movie was a four out of five. I'm really tired of people putting it down, because they have a hard time realizing the difference between fiction and fact.

The movie did a decent job of portraying the book. Yes, you can't put everything into a movie, because it would become a mini series; however, I felt Ron Howard did a good job of putting in everything it needed to be a good movie.

It'll be interesting to see how people react if they make Angels and Demons into a film. Talk about bloody!

Just my opinions though.

absurd...if 1 is low and 5 high, I'd rate it a 21/2...has some excitement but is too convoluted and absurd to follow to the end. When your mind starts drifting, really drifting, time to go to the bathroom, then the snack bar, grab popcorn, hot dog, candy, a coke or coffee...the book is slightly better than the movie, but I drank a pot of tea every 2 chapters, and then fell asleep every time. Did you see it or read it?
