To have an attached carport I think you will need someone to (no matter how handy you are) align all of the proper trusses and joists. I am sure you can take a plan that you like to a local arhictect or contractor and they can help to reconfigure what needs to be changed.

what do u mean find plans, u have to go have them designed. you are never going to find car port plans that match exactly what your house looks like, the same set up, the right location, the right size. go to an architect and have then drawn
