The Bush Regime says that we are at war. Unless you or a family member is in the military, I don't think that any US Citizens has felt any of the effects of the "war", and won't feel anything...until the bill comes to pay back the loans that we're taking from China to pay for it. In what ways has the war affected you or your family?

Bodies coming home on the news all the time, reminds me of Viet Nam.

I think that the dead bodies and maimed people who come back from this little war make it real enough. The notion that we have to feel at war and such came right out of Karl Rove's twisted brain. It was a (documented) neocon policy to try to build support for the war when Bush's poll numbers began sliding. I agree that the long term financial aspects will continue to really hurt our once proud nation.

The main stream media is constantly assaulting the public with negative stories about the war and about the US government. No one wants war. We all hurt when a soldier dies or is crippled for life. President Bush was voted in to do a job. He understands that his first duty is to provide for security of our homeland. Removing terrorists, thugs, troublemakers, and other treats to our security is exactly what he should be doing.
I feel safer. Our country is safer. We are all sadder because it cost the lives of our brave fighters. We understand that they volunteered and that they do what is required of them: fight and sometimes die. I am more grateful that the military exists, every time I listen to the news.
I am safer, sadder, and more grateful for what we have in this country.
