My husband and I have been married for 1 month now and have been discussing having a baby since before we were married. If it were up to him I would have been prego before the wedding but I wasn't ready then. I think I'm ready now...but I'm not for sure...what do you think?!

Yes we have a house, cars...etc. I know financially we'll be fine...and emotionally also. We both love kids. Like I said before, he has been ready. I'm 21...and just not positive that I'm ready to give up the lifestyle of a 21 year old. But yet it's like I almost crave to have a baby, I feel like that is the next step. But people keep telling me to "wait a few years" "you're still newlyweds" "enjoy each other" My thinking is, having a baby is not the end of the world and the end of your life, but the beginning of something more beautiful then anything I've ever known...I just want to be sure this is the right decision...

I am married and only 23. I have a five year old and 2 year old. They are my everything. But just remember that you do have a lot of time to have kids and be a family. The honest truth is that when you have kids, you have to be ready to give up all your time to them. Instead of thinking about what you want, it's all about what they need and want. You are young. If I could do it all over. I would of waited until I was in my late twenties. Like I said I love my kids. But I never had the chance to party and have fun, and live my life to the fullest for myself first.
When you and your husband have a baby, it will be the most beautiful thing that will ever take place in your relationship. It will bring you even closer. In a way that only can be known, when you experience it. Just remember, what will make it feel the best and turn out to be just right for you and your child, will be if you wait until you know you are ready! To where in your minds you know you have had all the young fun you needed, and you can now devote your love and time to this new life. Best wishes to you both...:)

I am in the same shoes!!! My husband and got married May 20th and we have both been wanting a baby since before th wedding and I too am 21. I love going out as well and we are also planning a trip for our 1 year anniversary, but what better way to celebrate than with something that you both have created! I think that as long as you are completely ready to change your lifestyle to support the needs of another human being and able to compromise you'll do fine! Good luck and trust you make the right decision for you and your family to be!!!

If you have doubt then you're not ready. You are only 21 and you just got married. You should give it a couple more months. You should party now because when you have a baby you have to be totally devoted. Give your marriage a little more time to settle. It's your decision and your body. Ask yourself, are you ready to have a baby because your husband is or because you are? Only you know when you are ready. If you feel your love with your hubby is strong enough and you are ready to give up partying then go for it. I have wanted a baby for the past couple of months but I am not ready and it is for the wrong reasons. Good luck.
