I worked last night (5th straight night) from midnight until 8am this morning

Today is my 20th birthday

I stayed up all day today and have not gone to sleep yet

(Since I have the next 2 nights off)

My boss just called me

He asked if I could work midnight - 8am tonight

I said yes

Thank God for Overtime

What's sadder:

The fact that I can now not do anything for my birthday tonight?

or

The fact that I had absolutely nothing planned?

waaaa-waaaa-waaaa....

get used to it, kid.

Try shiftwork and working on Father's Day, Christmas Day, and your birthday...

Now quit feeling sorry for yourself and start shopping for a ski boat- you're working, you can afford it plus it's a GREAT way to meet chicks in bikinis///

You're definitely working too hard, but that will probably get better as you get older. At your age, I worked three jobs and was making 1/3 the money I now make for one job.

The good news is, you'll eventually get to the point where you don't give a crap about doing anything on your birthday either. But in the meantime....Happy Birthday !!! The actual date is only a number. Just do something fun on your next day off instead.

Sweet heart - as long as you do not let this happen next year then we'll let this one birthday slide as sad as it is that you had nothing planned. Why did you say yes? You could have atleast given your self a day off as your birthday gift to you and had some sleep. When you turn 21 next year you should have a big night planned!

It's all in your attitude, baby! You're getting the overtime and it will give you more time to figure out what you want to do tomorrow!

Happy 20th Birthday! :-)

aww, just because you didn't have plans doesn't mean that you should have gone in!

you should take a day for yourself and do things you like doing- and I don't mean sleeping!

(and happy birthday!)
