had same problem last week and got lots of good advice
had red Asian lily beetle, has babies that cluster when small (look like mites) and middle stage is a fat white grub that covers it self in crap,
so basically have been on a killing spree for a couple of days
put gloves on and pulled leaf off and put in a nasty water solution) or squished every little red bug I saw, and killed every grub,
beetles were a bit trickier to catch, put a glass under leaf where i spotted 1 or 2 , and trapped between that and plate, then killed, now checking every day, and finding odd one

Never heard of a red aphid. They are Asian Lily Leaf beetles, improted a few years ago, attack many, but not all varieties of Lilies. Neem doesn't work very well. Rose and FLower spray is pretty good, Best to treat the plants and the soil early in spring before they emerge. This spring I sprayed with Malathion and spread Sevin granules in the soil all around them, as they over winter in the ground. So far I have seen only two. Last year I was decimated.

Try using a spray bottle with dish soap and water, about 1 part dish soap and 7 parts water. Spray it all over the lillies, except for the flowers. This works for aphids on roses, but I don't know about how well it will work for lillies, it shouldn't hurt them though. Also I would get some Seven Dust, you can get it at wal-mart relatively cheap and sprinkle it around the bottom of your flowers, this will help with them crawling up to eat the leaves.

Aphids...most likely.
The best organic way to get rid of them is ladybugs.
