2 weeks late, 3 tests (different brands) show a negative result, I have some pregnancy symptoms (fatigue, hunger, headaches and a dizzy spell). Has anyone else ever experienced this? I hate to spend the money to go to the doctor for them to tell me this is stress related, but I've never had a period be this late before. We are trying, and I've seen that negative result 3 times now...but still no flow!

Now 3 weeks late and still nothing. Making an appointment today. And a note to baggyk, stress can stop your period. After my father died, I didn't have a period for 8 months.

I wouldn't wait any longer before seeing a doctor. Stress does contribute to fertility problems, but not necessarily to menstrual problems. Think about it, if stress stopped periods, no one would get it on their wedding day, right before a big exam or when meeting your boyfriend's parents...and all of those things happen all the time.

The other symptoms could point to a fibroid or a cyst.

In any case, you better check it out.

This same thing just happened to me. With a cycle of normally 28-33 days, my period started today on day 45. And I think I wasted at least $50 on negative pregnancy tests this month.

My advice, set up an appointment with your OB/GYN to see what's going on. If you are pregnant, you will start getting prenatal care when you need it. If you are not, no harm no foul. Treat yourself as if you are pregnant in the meantime. It's good for you anyway!

Also, if you can make yourself do it, stop wasting your money on pregnancy tests. They won't change whether you're pregnant, and it's too stressful going through the highs and lows of repeatedly hoping for a positive and getting a negative.

My period is late quite often these days, and alot of PMS and Stress symptoms are close to pregnancy symptoms. After three tests you are probably not pregnant, but the best thing I can tell you do is wait and take another in a couple weeks or go on for the blood test.

Hugs

My last pregnancy this happened to me. I got pregnant in the beginning of may and didnt get a positive test until June 9. So you might be pregnant your hormones might not be strong enough to trigger the test result. Try to wait another week and take another test. If it is negative then you should go to your doctor and see if he can find the cause.. Doctors can give you a blood test or a pap smear to see if you are pregnant or not if the test doesnt show positive

Sometimes the hot weather (summer time), change in work schedule (not enough sleep) or alot of exercise can change your cycle. If you are trying to get pregnant maybe you should talk to a doctor anyways about taking prenatal vitamins.

I would give it one more week and then go see a doctor. Could be stress related or dehydration if your exercising alot.

just relax, either you will start or you may be pregnant. You may not have enough hormone build up yet to test positive.

good luck
