How do I tell my ex that gave him an STD? I care about him and I can't just not tell him...how should I say it?

Like everyone else said, be upfront and honest about it.
I would definatly wait until you feel comfortable, but yeah, quick and honest best approach...

I had some friends that has been in your situation and well, you will need to sit him down and tell him, be honest with him if you have been messing around or let him know you just want him to be honest with you and let you know if he has been messing around, if you know you have not, it is simple let him know and he will have a lot of explaining to do, personally, I would not stay with someone who has given me an std, if he does it once he will do it again, take it from experience, I was in an abusive relationship, If you love him let him go if he comes back to you then maybe it was meant to be, but you have to tell him and i would make it quick so you can sleep at night and he can get cured if this std is curable, good luck -jb

Best to be truthful and honest about it, and completely upfront. Make sure that you have it and make sure that he didn't already have it. I was told at one point that an ex-boyfreind had an std and he claimed that I had transmitted it to him. I told my current (now husband) sexual partner that we both needed to go get checked, and we found out that neither of us had it. The ex- had contracted it from another person, other than me, after the relationship was over.

just to let you know he will be upset and may break up with you. it is hard to let them know that you have cheated on him then to let him know you have given him an STD. bad news all around. do it slow and make sure it is a piblic place, so he wont get too loud or hit you. good luck.

you have to be honest with him, invite him to dinner or something like that and just tell him, because I'm guessing that he's going to have more sex partners and if you don't let him and he doesn't get treated then he can give it to other people. all i can say is be honest you will feel much better about yourself
